The College of Pharmacy – the oldest College at UIC - educates one in three Illinois pharmacists. The US News and World Report ranks UIC seventh (7th) among the nation’s 100 colleges of pharmacy. Also, the UIC College of Pharmacy ranks fourth among all U.S. colleges of pharmacy receiving National Institutes of Health research funding.

Degree Programs

We offer Degree Programs in the following areas:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program
Future pharmacists pursue the PharmD degree - the highest level of professional education in pharmacy

Graduate (MS and PhD) Programs
The College offers four PhD programs, covering a spectrum of research areas within the pharmaceutical sciences. There is one stand-alone MS degree in Forensic Science

Joint PharmD/PhD Programs
Exceptional pharmacy students can earn the professional Doctor of Pharmacy degree simultaneously with any of the PhDs offered by the College.
