Graduate Programs
The MS and PhD Programs at the UIC College of Pharmacy (COP) provide rigorous training in a broad range of scientific disciplines. Doctoral degrees are offered in Biopharmaceutical Sciences (including lipid and polymer based targeted drug delivery, cancer pharmacology & genetics, pharmacogenomics, molecular, cellular & systems pharmacology, and environmental & forensic toxicology), Medicinal Chemistry (including synthetic medicinal chemistry, computational medicinal chemistry, analytical & chemical toxicology, biomedicinal chemistry, and structural biology), Pharmacognosy (including natural products drug discovery, pharmaceutical biotechnology, biochemical & molecular toxicology, and medical ethnobotany), or Pharmacy Administration (including pharmacy health policy, pharmacy health services, and pharmacy education). Each program offers a combined PharmD/PhD and the departments of Pharmacy Administration, Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmacognosy and Forensic Science offer Master’s degrees. Student Organizations Participating in student groups and
