Graduate Programs

The MS and PhD Programs at the UIC College of Pharmacy (COP) provide rigorous training in a broad range of scientific disciplines. Doctoral degrees are offered in Biopharmaceutical Sciences (including lipid and polymer based targeted drug delivery, cancer pharmacology & genetics, pharmacogenomics, molecular, cellular & systems pharmacology, and environmental & forensic toxicology), Medicinal Chemistry (including synthetic medicinal chemistry, computational medicinal chemistry, analytical & chemical toxicology, biomedicinal chemistry, and structural biology), Pharmacognosy (including natural products drug discovery, pharmaceutical biotechnology, biochemical & molecular toxicology, and medical ethnobotany), or Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes & Policy (including pharmacy health policy, pharmacy health services, and pharmacy education).  Each program offers a combined PharmD/PhD and the departments of Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmacognosy and Forensic Science offer Master’s degrees.  For details on each individual program, please visit the links below and also see the Graduate Programs page.

Graduate Student Awards

Graduate Students Choice Lecture
