University of Utah School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies
June 21 - June 26, 2009

Each year, the University of Utah hosts the School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies.  The School, which is recognized internationally, has continually expanded its scope to keep pace with increased awareness of the health and social problems of alcoholism and other drug dependencies.  All areas of these problems are presented in training sessions for professional and lay personnel.  The School provides students with the latest methods and techniques for working effectively in their respective disciplines.

The school is intended for substance abuse counselors, clinicians, physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, medical personnel, rehabilitation counselors, public health administrators, educators, judges, lawyers, peace officers, county commissioners, industrial and community leaders, advisory council and board members, college and graduate students, families, treatment center personnel, and others desiring special instruction on alcoholism and other drug dependencies.

CREDIT — Graduate/undergraduate credit (2 semester hours in Health Education) is offered by proper registration and payment of a $50.00 credit fee (the 2008 fee, information for 2009 will be forthcoming). Must attend all daytime general sessions and all group section sessions Monday morning through Friday noon to receive university credit; those registered for the Pharmacy Section must also attend Sunday evening sessions.

FEES — Registration/conference fee, $385 (2008 fee, 2009's fee will be available soon).  Discounts are possible if a school has multiple participants.
