Project Q2 is a one year study of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people ages 16-20. We are trying to learn more about factors related to HIV risk, mental health, and substance use among GLBT young adults. To do this, we will ask questions about these topics, as well as questions about social support and personality. We hope to use this information to develop better services for young members of the GLBT community. We are also interest in the development of sexual orientation and how people come to identify as GLBT. To do this we will we will ask questions about your sexual orientation. We will also give you some of the cards with the study’s phone number so that you can give them to your friends. Each part of the study is voluntary, and you can choose not to participate in any part. The study involves coming in person four times over the next year. You can receive up to $180 for being involved, plus gift cards and CTA cards. If you are interested, the next step is for you to call us at 312-996-4208 or email us at projectq2@uic.edu to find out more and to schedule a time to come in for your first visit. |
