Lead the Change.
It’s time for change in healthcare. It’s time for inter-professional, patient-centered thinking that measurably improves patient outcomes. It’s time for you to lead the change.
The UIC Patient Safety Leadership Programs, offered by the Department of Medical Education in the UIC College of Medicine, give you the opportunity to explore ways to lead an organization to a culture of high quality patient care practices. You can enroll in either the nine course master’s program or a three course graduate certificate program.
Both programs are offered online and focus on inter-professional teamwork, simulation training, communication and collaboration, medical error science, organizational change and healthcare leadership. You will learn to design, implement and lead a broad range of patient safety activities. You will also connect with experienced faculty and a multidisciplinary network of fellow healthcare professionals who, like you, are committed to improving patient safety.
Courses were developed specifically for the PSL program by distinguished faculty from the UIC College of Medicine, a recognized leader in the field.
We invite you to lead the change. Explore the Patient Safety Leadership program on this Web site and take the next step toward becoming a leader in the patient safety field.
