Welcome
Thank you for considering the UIC
School of Public Health! Our faculty, students, and
staff are committed to bettering the communities in
which we work: decreasing infant mortality or the incidence
of asthma in a high-risk Chicago neighborhood, researching
the latest approaches to success in smoking cessation
across the country, fighting HIV/AIDS in Kenya and Indonesia,
or fighting pollution in eastern Europe.
And we get to work and live in one of the world's great
cities!
The application process will be administered in conjunction with the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS), the online centralized application service for schools of public health. Under this system, you will be able to apply to multiple schools of public health using one application and one set of materials. SOPHAS will collect and process all applications and will forward them to each of the schools to which you have chosen to apply.
If you plan to submit an MPH/DrPH or MHA/MS/PhD application for Fall 2007 or any subsequent term, you will no longer apply directly to the UIC School of Public Health and/or the Graduate College. Schools of public health ask that you wait until September 2007 to submit your application using the SOPHAS service.
For information about applying through SOPHAS, submitting application materials, test scores, or obtaining test codes, please see the SOPHAS website at www.sophas.org or contact the Association of Schools of Public Health at:
