Scoring Quality Measures
Step 1: Recode Response Options Recode the response choices in the data file so that they can be scored into quality measures
- The recoded response options will contain the number of points that each response contributes to the scoring of the question and quality measure.
- Highest Number of Points that can be obtained= 100
- Lowest Number of Points that can be obtained = 0
Step 2: Calculate the quality score for each individual
Calculate either the mean score or average proportion of “yes” responses for the items included in each quality measure.
- Some quality measures (e.g. Follow-Up for children at risk, are scored only for a specific population of respondents.
