4. Attempt to design studies that identify the specific factors linked to race that affect health (acculturation, economic, and non-economic aspects of discrimination)

• Design a construct which can measure and/or reflect racism--capturing the experience of racial discrimination at both the individual and institutional level

5. Involve racial/ethnic communities in the design, implementation and evaluation of all efforts to assess and address racial/ethnic disparities in health outcomes
