IDPH Learning Management System

Faced with the threat of bioterrorism and virus outbreaks, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) had to assess whether its workforce was ready to address potential threats and improve its employees’ role-based competencies. The IDPH Learning Management System (LMS) is a customized online solution designed to assist the state in its objective of total emergency preparedness.

The federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau needed to transform its MCHCOM.com web site into a high traffic portal, with fully integrated live webcasts and archived training resources.

IPHFI Response Capacity Inventory

The Illinois Public Health Futures Institute was entrusted with rolling out the Public Health Preparedness and Response Capacity Inventory to all local health departments in the state. CADE created a web-based version of the Inventory and coordinated training and technical support around its release schedule. The data was scored and analyzed according to CDC algorithms using SAS statistical analysis software.

Improving children’s oral health management is a critical issue for public health professionals pursuing Healthy People 2010 goals. CADE developed a series of online oral health training modules in collaboration with the Oral Health Resource Center.
