The
goal of Quality Community Managed Care is to develop partnerships
between managed care organizations, the Division of Specialized
Care for Children, the Illinois Title V program, and families of
Children with Special Health Care Needs in order to improve care
and ease access for children with special health care needs. This
project is funded by a grant from the Maternal Child Health Bureau,
Department of Health and Human Services.

Partners:
Division
of Specialized Care for Children, University of Illinois at
Chicago, is Illinois's official agency responsible for helping children
with certain chronic health problems and their families by providing
care coordination, specialized diagnostic care, and appropriate
specialty medical care.
Health
Alliance Medical Plans, Urbana IL, is a managed care organization
that serves over 200,000 members in Illinois and Iowa. More that
150 children receive care through both Health Alliance and the Division
of Specialized Care for Children.
Midland
Management Company LLC, Rockford IL is a managed care organization
that provides third party administration and management for an Independent
Physicians Organization and a variety of other companies.
Families
of children with special needs who reside in the two DSCC administrative
regions served by Health Alliance Medical Plans and Midland Management
Company LLC.
