Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (formerly known as the Health Care Financing Administration, or HCFA)

Official U.S. government site that contains extensive information about all aspects of the Medicaid program, SCHIP and links to state Medicaid agencies, laws and regulations, statistics and research.

Campaign for Better Health Care

An Illinois-based organization advocating for universal health care. Includes state and national links for health care advocacy, toll-free consumer help line numbers, information on health care for all children, including CSHCN.

National Health Law Project

A leading national organization addressing legal issues related to health coverage for low-income individuals, including CSHCN. Has a section on children’s health, updates on Medicaid law, many national resources, includes EPSDT Case Docket, Medicaid manual for advocates, many publications and links.

Familes USA

Another leading national health care advocacy organization, focusing all aspects of health coverage for low-income individuals and families. Includes extensive consumer information, section on children’s health issues, extensive links and publications listings.

United States General Accounting Office

Published the "Report to Congressional Requesters" (released July 2001) a report on Medicaid EPSDT program: "Stronger Efforts Needed to Ensure Children’s Access to Health Screening Services".

National Center for Poverty Law

Devoted to advocacy on all issues related to low-income persons, including health care and children’s issues. Extensive links, media reviews, and legal updates.
