Medicaid is a jointly-funded state and federal government program that pays for medically necessary services. Medicaid pays for medical services for children and their caretakers, pregnant women, and persons who are disabled, blind or 65 years of age or older.

Insure Kids Now is a site where you can find information on each state's own program that makes health insurance coverage available to children in working families. http://www.insurekidsnow.gov

Shriners A network of 22 hospitals that provide expert, no-cost orthopaedic and burn care to children under 18. http://www.shrinershq.org
