Theme: There is a clear need for staff at the State and local level with appropriate analytical skills. The purpose of this session is to explore methods used to expand epidemiological capacity. Two programs will be discussed: the University of Illinois' Analytic Skills Enhancement Program and the evaluation of the CDC/HRSA Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology Program.
