Technical Requirements and Tips for Enjoying DataSpeak
To fully enjoy all the features of this site you will need a Real Player (to hear the audio of the broadcast) and Adobe Acrobat (to read the handouts). This page will help you to download and install these on your computer.

Browser Requirements: Netscape Navigator 4.0 or above, Internet Explorer 4.0 or above.
Browser Settings: Under Options, JavaScript and Cookies should be turned on (it is the default setting)
Please download what you need from here at least a few days before the broadcast so you have time to test that everything is installed properly.
You will need RealPlayer: You will need RealPlayer G2, RealPlayer7, RealPlayer8 or RealOne Player to view and listen to this broadcast . Download the Player here! There is a free version available -- look for the link to the free player midway down the screen.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDF (Portable Document Format) files often provided as handouts by the speakers. Click here to be taken to the Adobe download page. Follow the instructions on the page for downloading and installing the reader.
Closed captioning: You will need to have a Java-enabled browser. Click "Yes" when asked whether you wish to download the Java applet from Speche.
Tips for printing PowerPoint slides:
Download the PowerPoint file to your computer. In PowerPoint, choose Print from the File menu option.
At the bottom of the Print window, select "Black & white" and "Scale to fit paper."
Under the "Print what:" drop-down window, there exist the options to print 2, 3 or 6 slides per page.
The quality of the prints will depend upon your printer.
Printing directly from your browser window
