| Welcome
to the Diversity in Public Health Program web site.
Our goal is to enhance the admission, retention, and graduation of students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and whose ethnicities are underrepresented in health professions to public health careers at the masters and doctoral levels. We are particularly interested in African Americans, Latinos and Native Americans who reside or intend to work in the Health Profession Shortage Areas (HPSAs) of Illinois, especially Chicago. The Office of Urban Health and Diversity Programs at the UIC School of Public Health operates this site. You can find information that best suits you by following the links to the left. Please choose the category that best fits your interest and educational level. Because our site is constantly being developed and improved, you may find some areas are under construction. Please check back often for new and updated information.
