The Illinois ERC and School of Public Health offer a 2-year Occupational Medicine Residency in partnership with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and the University of Illinois Hospital. The program is offered to physicians who have already completed their internship and includes academic coursework leading to a Master of Public Health degree and a clinical year with consultation service, epidemiology, industrial, and elective rotations.
Successful completion of the program results in board eligibility in Occupational Medicine under the American Board of Preventive Medicine. The program also offers physicians advanced research training leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
