Occupational Safety

The American Society of Safety Engineers is celebrating a century of safety! Watch this video* highlighting 100 years of work:

The Occupational Safety (OS) training program offers MS and PhD degrees. The goal of the program is to provide academic and research training in applied occupational safety practice and thorough grounding in safety science, engineering and research. OS trainees participate in occupational medicine clinics and at least one extended field study.

The OS program is administratively housed within the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (EOHS) Division in the School of Public Health, and exists in partnership with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE).

Our program provides pertinent scientific, engineering and public health training to prepare students to protect the safety of workers and the general public.
