The Great Lakes Center of Excellence in Environmental
Health
University of Illinois at Chicago Great Lakes Center of Excellence in
Environmental Health is the Academic Environmental Public Health
Center for the Midwest Region, funded by the CDC National Center
for Environmental Health. This project is designed to address
the workforce development needs of environmental health agencies
and professionals in the Midwest Region. Some aspects of the
project are designed to provide coordination between UIC's
School of Public Health and public and environmental health
agenices. Other aspects include providing continuing eduation
for the agencies, health hazard evaluations and a pilot grants
program.
