The
Great Lakes Center of Excellence in Environmental Health
Online
Training Lectures
Through
the Center of Excellence we strive to develop curricula for the
Great Lakes environmental health workforce in exposure assessment
and toxicology. The objectives are to
- increase awareness among
local health department workers to the role of local health
departments in addressing environmental health issues;
- develop,
implement and evaluate an online training program that addresses
the fourteen competencies and ten essential environmental
health services for local public health department workers;
- improve
communication and interaction between environmental health
experts and local health department practitioners; and
- develop,
implement and evaluate advanced course work in environmental
health for local public health workers responsible for environmental
health.
