Curriculum:
Steps for Training Presentations
Goals: The
goals of this activity is to provide an outline for training
presentations.
Objectives: Participants
will:
- practice
leading units given the outline below.
- divide
roles in leading the unit.
Time: Be
sure to note the time expectations for the activity.
Materials
needed: Please review the materials needed for the activity
and prepare in advance.
How
to conduct the activity: (NB: Underlined portions are instructions
to participants.)
1.
Introduce yourselves and read objectives to participants.
2.
Describe activity to the participants.
3.
Form small groups, repeat what you expect them to do, provide
them the time frame for completion and request that they
identify a recorder/reporter.
4.
Listen to the discussion from the groups.
5.
Begin the report back with groups and ask each group for
one response and scribe the response. Then ask for a
response from the next group.
6.
Summarize and integrate the responses to reflect the goal
of the activity.
7.
Read summary points for the activity.
