Qualitative
Assessment
Keeping
of track of workplace injuries and illnesses is an important
tool for identifying hazards. Data can be gathered using a variety
of methods and tools. Most often employers find out about injuries
and illnesses "through the grapevine". There are better
ways to find out about hazards and to identify patterns of injuries
and illnesses. This also helps to focus energy and resources
to the areas that are the most problematic.
