This conference held
to exchange information in an effort towards harmonization
of approaches to protection of human subjects in public
health research, consistent with internationally-accepted
principles of bioethics.
For the last decade UIC has had collaborative programs
in Ukraine for “International
Research and Training in Environmental and Occupational
Health.” UIC’s
major collaborative research program has been the “Family and
Children of Ukraine” study which is the Ukrainian component of
the European Longitudinal Study of Pregnancy and Childhood.
