Considering the recent spraying for roaches and death of the family pet, the ER physician now recognizes that the boy may be suffering from pesticide poisoning and decides to call the local Poison Control Center. They make a series of recommendations over the telelphone and advise consulting a Clinical Toxicologist. The consultant is called and arrives within 20 minutes.
