WHY HAVE A WORKER PROTECTION PLAN?
To protect the health and property of the citizens of Illinois, the Department requires in Section 422.60, Requirements for Issuance or Renewal of Licenses of the Adopted Rule, mitigation professional applicants to submit a worker protection program description to be followed when performing mitigation installations for approval.
Section 422.70, Conditions of License of the Adopted Rule requires mitigation professionals to comply with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and guidelines to assure safe and healthful working conditions for their employees.
