LEARNING OBJECTIVES
INTRODUCTION
The Illinois General Assembly declared that in order to safeguard the health, property, and public welfare of its citizens, persons engaged in the business of reducing the presence of radon in the indoor atmosphere shall be regulated by the State through licensing requirements.
The Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS) regulates the reduction of radon in the indoor atmosphere through licensing requirements. Licenses are issued in accordance with the Radon Industry Licensing Act (RILA) and 32 Illinois Administrative Code 422 (Adopted Rule).
