Dr. Hinkamp is an attending physician in the Occupational Health Services Institute
and an attending physician in the Division of Occupational Medicine at Cook County
Hospital. He participates in the Institute's medical services programs including
medical surveillance and independent medical evaluations. He also participates
in our occupational and environmental medicine training activities including graduate
training at the School of Public Health, residency training at Cook County Hospital,
and our continuing education programs. He has served as part-time medical director
of a pharmaceutical company. He currently serves as a Visiting Scientist in the
Occupational Medicine Program at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
His areas of interest include occupational lead exposure, cumulative trauma disorders
and hearing loss. He also works with national and local organizations on health
hazards in the music professions.
