collaboration The most dramatic and visible effort of the International Center for Health Leadership Development has been the Health Partners Fellowship Program, a two-year leadership development experience. The program focuses on the exploration of the nature of communities, academic institutions, the linkages between them, and strategies for successfully leading a redirection of health professions education and health services. The overall approach is to foster the development of a group learning process and to establish a network of colleagues and ongoing support to improve bridge building skills. The first class of twelve Health Partners Fellows was identified after a national and international recruitment process; the class included two international scholars and was representative of academic institutions and community-based organizations. The same formula was repeated for the second class of Health Partners Fellows. |
