OVERVIEW

The School of Public Health’s mission is to protect and improve the population’s health.  Health Policy and Administration will teach you how to make the changes needed to accomplish this goal.

Our educational programs will teach you:

  • How government works, and how you can direct policy as an advocate or senior administrator
  • How organizations work and how to shape the direction of your organization
  • How to evaluate the ethics, efficacy and economics of programs and policies

The future of public health will be shaped by those:

  • Who see problems in landscape not only in a broad context, but also with depth and complexity
  • Who think strategically
  • Who make ethical and effective resource decisions
  • Who develop a vision for their community or organization
  • Who lead us forward

Health Policy and Administration can help you acquire the skills necessary to play an important role in the future of public health.
