"One of the best parts of being the Program Director for HPA’s MPH is following the careers of our alumni. These pictures are from a get together we had two months ago."
Prof.Daniel Swartzman
Ashley Walter Dumm works as a policy analyst for Wellpoint and Adriana Kashuba is in medical school.
Camille Fabiyi has worked on school health advocacy programs and will be studying for a PhD. Liz Jarvis will be doing a Presidential Management Fellowship starting in 2009.
Amy Sulkin chats with a guest, while I talk with Sharon Perlman, winner of the Donaldson Award a few years ago. |
Alum of the Month Ashley (Walter) Dumm "The Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration program at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health provided me with the analytical skills to be able to examine complex public policy issues from many different angles – which is crucial in trying to identify ways to improve our public-private health care system. Many of the courses in the MPH HPA program also challenged me to reconsider my personal opinions of how the U.S. health care system should operate. In addition to enhancing my desire to do good, the HPA MPH has been an important stepping stone in helping me to network and attain professional positions and relationships that actually allow me to inform the policymaking process and make a difference." |
