gain an understanding of fundamental GIS tools and

training in implementing and sustaining a GIS function

The Public Health Informatics certificate program
is structured around the development, implementation and
management of population-based public health information
systems and infrastructure. To earn the certificate,
students must complete five courses for a total of 17

The Public Health Management certificate is
designed to assist mid-career public health
professionals who are ready to take the next step in
their careers. The course sequence starts with the basic
principles of managing public health organizations, and
continues with strategic planning, budgeting, leadership
and making tough resource-allocation decisions. To earn
the certificate, students must complete four courses for
a total of 12 credit hours.
