There is a growing need for public health professionals who possess the knowledge required to develop, implement and evaluate public health programs.
UIC’s Health Policy and Administration Division in the School of Public Health studies organizational behavior, planning and evaluation, health policies, health law and advocacy, management of cost and quality of health care, and issues of effectiveness in health services.
The future of public health will be shaped by those who lead us forward: those who can think strategically, make ethical and effective resource decisions, and develop a vision for their community or organization. Health Policy and Administration students acquire the skills necessary to shape the future of public health. Students will learn how government works, how to direct policy, how to shape the direction of an organization, and how to evaluate the ethics, efficacy and economics of programs and policies, all in a convenient 100% online format.
