There is a growing need for public health professionals who possess the knowledge required to develop, implement and evaluate public health programs. UIC’s Health Policy and Administration Division in the School of Public Health studies organizational behavior, planning and evaluation, health policies, health law and advocacy, management of cost and quality of health care, and issues of effectiveness in health services. The future of public health will be shaped by those who lead us forward: those who can think strategically, make ethical and effective resource decisions, and develop a vision for their community or organization. Health Policy and Administration students acquire the skills necessary to shape the future of public health. Public Health Informatics addresses the growing need for public health professionals to develop, implement and evaluate public health information systems. The MPH in Public Health Informatics is designed to teach students how to collect and analyze data related to the health of a population, and how to manage this data in a way that maximizes the efficiency and efficacy of current and emerging public health interventions. The curriculum is designed to deepen understanding of population health and develop expertise in public health informatics. The Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration online program provides the education necessary for you to join the new generation of public health leaders, addressing key issues related to: public health law and policy, public health administration, communication and public health ethics.
