PHPM 

The Comprehensive Public Health Policy Management (PHPM) MPH:  This curriculum is specially designed for those students who are new to public health.  You will learn the basics of public health, as well as take an assigned set of courses in public policy development and administration, with time left for electives.  At the end of two years, you will be able to demonstrate the skills for professional work as a policy analyst or a public health manager.  More information is available at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/hpa/mph/mph_comprehensive.html

PEP 

The Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) MPH:  Over half of our MPH students are already involved in their careers.  The Professional Enhancement Program is shorter than the Comprehensive MPH, but more importantly, it provides flexibility, so that students with differing professional experiences can tailor curricula that fit their needs.  More information is available at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/hpa/mph/mph_pep.html.

PHI

MHA 

The Master in Healthcare Administration (MHA):  With contributions from the public health and business faculty, the MHA program produces strategic managers and the future leaders of healthcare.  This values-based, community-based program makes use of a two year Preceptorship, with top administrators in the Chicago healthcare market mentoring our students.  More information is available at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/mha.

MS CTS 

Master in Clinical Translational Science (MS CTS):  We are helping clinicians develop clinical research skills through courses in research methods, workshops that improve professional competences and the conduct of a mentored research study.  More information is available at: http://cores33webs.mede.uic.edu/crtp/curriculum.htm.

MS/PhD 

MS and PhD in Health Services Research or in Health Policy:  This is an opportunity to work with HPA’sResearch Faculty, learning to conduct HSR or health policy research.  We hope to identify “best practices” in the organization and delivery of health services or in evaluating health policy proposals before they are adopted.  More information is http://www.uic.edu/sph/degrees_ms.htm.

Joint Degrees 

Joint degrees:   Many of our MPH students are participating in one of our three joint degree programs.  The MD/MPH and MBA/MPH  are offered in conjunction with the UIC College of Medicine, Business Administration, respectively.  We also offer a coordinated JD/MPH program with the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.  More information on all of these programs at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/shandbook_jtdegree.htm.

EMCP 

Emergency Management and Continuity Planning (EMCP) Certificate:  This five course certificate program, a collaboration between the School of Public Health and the College of Business Administration, helps its graduates to guide communities and public and private organizations in preparing for unexpected events, because today we know that the unexpected can happen.  More information is available at: http://www.uic.edu/depts/oee/emergencymanagement/index.htm.
