Graduate Research Assistant Position
Special Curricular Programs within the College of Medicine seeks a graduate research assistant to support the ongoing developmental needs and growing interest in two primary programs within the department, Guaranteed Professional Program (GPPA) and Urban Medicine Program (UMed).
This is a 33% time appointment beginning in April through fall 2010, and may lead to an extension into Academic Year 2010 - 2011. The GRA will work under the direct supervision of the UMed Program Manager and the GPPA Assistant Director, to organize and analyze program data for development and evaluation purposes, and general administrative support of the GPPA and UMed programs.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate student in public health, business, public administration, or behavioral sciences with working knowledge of statistical analysis tools and software.
Skills required:
Clear & concise writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong multi-tasking skills
IRB experience
Statistical analysis: simple regression analysis, categorical data analysis, ANOVA, non-parametric analysis
Experience with SAS or SPSS
Literature search (Medline, google scholar, etc)
Survey development experience
Qualitative analysis experience is desirable
Microsoft Office software especially Excel
The preferred candidate will be available for flexible scheduling. On average students will work 13.3 hours per week. Typical work hours are between 8:30 ? 4:30pm, but some evening hours might be required.
