The Center for Health and the Social Sciences (CHeSS) is an interdisciplinary health research center that draws on the extraordinary tradition of basic and applied social science research in the graduate and professional schools of the University of Chicago. CHeSS was created to provide a home for interdisciplinary research and training programs and provides needed infrastructure to support and encourage new research initiatives at the interface of health and the social sciences. CHeSS is currently facilitating the development of health disparities research at the University of Chicago and research partnerships with community-based organizations. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Web-based Finding Answers: Disparities Research for Change (Finding Answers) grants program proposal and reviewer interface software and support functions. Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing grantee technical assistance programming for Finding Answers. Responsible for conducting effective reviews of the scientific literature, subsequent written summaries and serving as a co-author on journal and other scholarly work submitted for competitive review. Potential opportunities to participate in efforts to build health disparities research at the University of Chicago and form research partnerships with community-based organizations.

| A Research Analyst position will soon be open in the Oregon Public Health Division. To provide evaluation design, data collection, analysis, and program evaluation support to Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs. SSHVS is multi-disciplinary project made up of faculty, staff and community members representing a variety of fields and areas of expertise.
