The latest version
of RealPlayer is available for free from the RealPlayer
website. Be sure to choose the free version.
You'll
have to scroll down the page a bit to find the free Player! Look for a gray
horizontal bar or rule on the RealPlayer page. The link to the free version
of the most recent version of the Player will be on the left side of that
bar.
In
order to download the player you’ll need to supply the following information:
a.
email address
b. country
c. operating system (OS) e.g. Windows 98, Mac OS 8.1, Linux 2.0, etc.
d. language
e. Internet connection e.g. 28.8K modem, cable, T1, etc.
Next,
choose whether to download RealPlayer as a standalone application, or as part
of the Real Entertainment Center.
Choose
the closest geographic location to begin downloading (if you are in the United
States, choose Seattle WA or SF Bay Area, CA).
Choose
"Save to Disk" and select the directory where you want the RealPlayer
installation program to be saved (e.g. C: drive, desktop, etc.)
Locate
and launch the file you downloaded by choosing the Run option in the Start
menu or exploring the directory you selected. This will begin the RealPlayer
setup process.
