for ROUNDTABLE ABSTRACTS
Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference
April 27-29, 2003
The
Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference Planning Committee is
now accepting abstracts for the 16th annual conference in Chicago, IL
(April 27-29, 2003).
The
conference will address the elimination of health disparities among
women, adolescents, children, and infants. All sessions will highlight
what we know, what we don't know, and what this means for researchers
and practitioners.
Guidelines
for Preparing Abstracts
The
conference planning committee encourages both MCH
professionals and students to submit abstracts directly related to the
following discussion topics:
Fetal
Infant Mortality Review
Adolescent Transitions
Teen Pregnancy
Welfare Reform
ADHD
Immigrant Health
Childhood Injuries
Perinatal Depression
Case Management
Domestic violence during pregnancy
Childhood Obesity
Women's Health
Child & Adolescent Bullying
Abstracts
must be limited to 200 words or less and can only be submitted online.
(Contact the conference coordinator if you are unable to submit an online
abstract.) Selected abstracts will be presented as posters during the
roundtable discussion on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 (8:00 am-9:30 am).
Posters will be used to guide the roundtable discussions. Please indicate
whether the primary author is an MCH professional or student and complete
all other background information. Each abstract should include a title
and listing of all authors and their agency/academic affiliation. The
following sections should be included in the body of the abstract: 1)
introduction, 2) methods, 3) results, 4) conclusions/implications for
future research and/or MCH public health practice. Notification of acceptance
status will take place no later than January 3, 2003.
