This conference, funded in part by the federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau, is the second in a three-year series devoted to the translation of research into practice. The conference is designed to bring together interdisciplinary academic and practice experts to share new research findings important for MCH as well as information about the effectiveness of programs to improve MCH. The conference includes an exciting keynote address, plenary sessions, and three workshop tracks: 1) Skills-Building, 2) Child and Adolescent Health, 3) Improving MCH Systems of Care. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to connect with diverse MCH researchers and practitioners from across the nation and learn about emerging MCH issues, cutting-edge research, innovative programs, as well as,new methods to improve the systems of care in place for women, children, and families. Who Should AttendInterdisciplinary MCH public health and healthcare professionals are encouraged to attend this conference. Participants may include health department employees, community advocates, physicians, nurses, nutritionists, oral health professionals, health educators, social workers, administrators, policy advocates, researchers, MCH program planners, child and family advocates, students, and private sector professionals concerned with the health and well-being of children and families. Continuing Education UnitsApplication for granting continuing education credit for professional groups has been made. The conference program will provide learning objectives, a time schedule, and faculty credentials. This information should be retained with your continuing education records. FacultyThe conference faculty includes national, regional, state, and local interdisciplinary MCH professionals.
