Current Research Interests
I am a board-certified pediatrician and my research interests reflect many years of clinical experience at a large public hospital. These research interests include: chronic diseases of childhood and adolescence (particularly bronchial asthma); breastfeeding and community-based collaborative research.
Current Teaching
I teach two Maternal and Child Health (MCH) courses, Introduction to MCH and Advanced MCH Applied Programs. I will teach the MCH Seminar on Children's Health and the Environment in the spring of 2005.
Service
I am a member of a local private school board and I sponsor a yearly course on pediatric advanced life support (PALS) for the Pediatrics section of the National Medical Association. I am also a board member for Reach out and Read.
