What is the MHA program?
The UIC Master of Healthcare Administration Program provides the
opportunity to develop the skills and resources you need to become
a healthcare leader. The MHA Program is designed for:
Healthcare is already the largest non-government sector of the U.S. economy. As our population ages and as new medical breakthroughs extend life, the demand for healthcare services will continue to grow. The rate of job growth in this sector is currently twice that of other industries. The demand for capable professionals to lead this expansion is substantial. Tomorrow's leaders will be creative professionals with the analytical and "people" skills required not only to manage successful projects but also to lead successful institutions. The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) School of Public Health's Health Policy and Administration Division and the College of Business Administration are collaborating to address this need with a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) Program. The program features:
Our program offers the benefits of course work encompassing the business experience of the outstanding faculty of the UIC College of Business Administration, the broad healthcare expertise and understanding available from the diverse faculty of the nationally ranked UIC School of Public Health, and the unique learning opportunities available through educational placements in the local, regional, and national healthcare organizations located in the Chicago metropolitan area.
