HPA Students Selected as Presidential Management Fellows

UIC SPH Health Policy and Administration students John Detwiler, MBA/MPH candidate, and Elizabeth Jarvis, MPH candidate, have been selected as Presidential Management Fellows for 2008. This program is designed "to attract to the Federal service outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs."

John and Elizabeth will participate in a job fair in Washington, D.C. on April 22-24, 2008, to interview for job openings with federal agencies. Only 754 finalists were selected for this prestigious award from the Class of 2008 in this national competition.
