EOHS Students Honored at AIHce

The UIC School of Public Health would like to congratulate the following Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences students who received recognition at the 2008 American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition (AIHce).

Bogdan Catalin, PhD student, received Best Poster in Aerosol Science in the graduate student section.

Shanna Horvatin, MS student, received Best Poster Occupational Epidemiology in the graduate student section.

Jennifer Pierce, PhD student, received the Liberty Mutual Scholarship, presented by the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation.

Anders Abelmann, PhD student, received the Chicago Section Scholarship, presented by the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation.

Thanks to Dr. Lorraine Conroy for her support through the NIOSH ERC program.

Thousands of industrial hygienists and EHS professionals attended the AIHce, in Minneapolis, May 31 - June 5, 2008, where they participated in hundreds of educational sessions and attended the Expo, which featured more than 300+ exhibitors. Founded in 1939, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) is the premier association of occupational and environmental health and safety professionals.
