UIC SPH Alumnus Honored With Lifetime Achievement AwardThe American Public Health Association’s Chiropractic Health Care section awarded its Lifetime Achievement Award for 2008 to Rand Baird, a University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health alumnus.
Baird received his Master of Public Health from the school, and currently works as a chiropractor near the Los Angeles area and is a faculty member of the Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Baird has played a pivotal role in establishing the Chiropractic Health Care section within the APHA and currently writes a column on the activities of chiropractic in the association.
APHA presented the award to Baird at the APHA annual meeting in San Diego in October.
