Summer Session 2011 Summer Session 2011 consists of independent 4-week and 8-week sessions.
4-Week Session
May 16 Monday	Instruction begins.
May 16 Monday	Last day to submit Withdraw from Term request via Student Self-Service and receive 100% cancellation of tuition and fees if registered only in 4-Week Session.
May 18 Wednesday	Last day to complete late registration for the 4-Week Session Session I; last day to drop or add a course(s) or make section changes for 4-Week Session I; last day to drop individual Summer Session I courses via Student Self-Service without receiving W (Withdrawn) grade on academic record for the 4-Week Session; last day to receive tuition adjustment for individual Session I courses dropped via Student Self-Service.
May 30 Monday	Memorial Day holiday. No classes.
June 1 Wednesday	CampusCare deadline to change coverage or submit waiver of coverage form.
June 9 Thursday	Instruction ends for 4-Week Session.
June 10 Friday	Final examinations for the 4-Week Session
June 11 Saturday	4-Week Session ends.
8-Week Session
June 1 Wednesday	CampusCare deadline to change coverage or submit waiver of coverage form.
June 13 Monday	Instruction begins.
June 13 Monday	Last day to submit Withdraw from Term request via Student Self-Service and receive 100% cancellation of tuition and fees if registered only in 8-Week Session.
June 17 Friday	Last day to complete late registration for the 8-Week Session Session II; last day to drop or add a course(s) or make section changes for 8-Week Session II; last day to drop individual Summer Session II courses via Student Self-Service without receiving W (Withdrawn) grade on academic record for the 8-Week Session; last day to receive tuition adjustment for individual Session II courses dropped via Student Self-Service.
June 24 Friday	Last day to file for graduation for Summer Session.
July 8 Friday	Last day to submit thesis/dissertation to Ann Shorrock for format approval. You may contact Ann Shorrock with questions regarding format approval at alshorro@uic.edu  or (312) 355-4272.
July 4 Monday	Independence Day holiday. No classes.
July 22 Friday	Last day to submit approved thesis/dissertation to Graduate College for graduation this term.
August 3 Wednesday	Instruction ends for 8-Week Session.
August 4-5 Thursday-Friday	Final examinations for 8-Week Session.
August 5 Friday	Last day for Graduate College to receive certificates of approval for master's and professional doctorate project for graduation this term.
August 6 Saturday	8-Week Session ends.
