Overview - PH 416: Public Health Infrastructure
After completing PH 416, learners will be proficient in
identifying, measuring, and assessing components of the public health infrastructure in
the community. Key aspects of this competency expectation include:
- identifying the major components of public health's
infrastructure
- describing the public health workforce in terms of
numbers, distribution, and skills
- listing 5 or more major categories of universal
competencies for public health professionals
- describing the current status of public health
organizational resources
- defining the term coalition and describe key steps in
their development and operation
- describing several major categories of public health
information systems
- describing the current status of the financial resources
of the public health system
- identifying strategies for enhancing the infrastructure of
public health
