Overview - PH 424: Community Risk & Protective Factors
After completing PH 424, learners will be proficient in obtaining,
applying, and interpreting qualitative measures of community health that are commonly used
in community health improvement processes. Key aspects of this competency expectation
include:
- describing how qualitative
data complement quantitative data to provide a more complete picture of community health
- defining at least two community level protective factors
for a given population
- identifying and measuring contextual factors in
consumer/community use of health services
- soliciting input from individuals, organizations,
and other key stakeholders related to identifying and analyzing data and information on
factors influencing community health problems
