Overview - PH 426: Community Problem Solving
After completing PH 426, learners will be proficient in utilizing
research, evaluation and strategic planning tools commonly used in community health improvement processes
and applying the results of these activities in deciding on an appropriate course of
action. Key aspects of this competency expectation include:
- describing community
research study designs commonly used in public health
- describing strengths and
weaknesses of findings from program evaluations and community research study designs
commonly used in public health
- applying techniques in
decision analysis and strategic planning in community health improvement initiatives
- describing strengths and
limitations of community research and strategic planning data capture strategies
- utilizing community research
and strategic planning to decide on appropriate courses of action
