MPH in Public Health Informatics
The UIC School of Public Health offers joint degrees in conjunction with the College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, Business Administration, College of Nursing, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a coordinated JD/MPH program with the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Program
An MPH program based at the UIC College of Medicine at Peoria is offered through the School of Public Health's Community Health Sciences Division and complements the UICOM-Peoria Program in Population and Community Health.
Residency
Programs
The School of Public Health participates in a residency program by providing an accredited academic year toward board eligibility in general preventive medicine and occupational medicine. The School also collaborates with John Stroger Hospital in offering an accredited program leading to board eligibility in preventive medicine.
Accredited
Program in Industrial Hygiene
The UIC SPH Division of Environmental
and Occupational Health Sciences has a nationally recognized
and ABET-accredited program in industrial hygiene. The
program provides pertinent scientific and public health
training to prepare students to protect the environment
and improve the health of workers and the general public.
Maternal
and Child Health Program
The goal of the Maternal and Child
Health Program (MCHP) is to provide graduate leadership
education for individuals pursuing careers in maternal
and child health (MCH). It is a comprehensive, competency-based
program focusing on the health needs of women, children,
and families and on the services designed to meet these
needs.

Program
The Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology
Program at UIC is a collaborative effort of the Maternal
and Child Health Program/Community Health Sciences Division
and the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Division.
Survey
Research Methodology
The School of Public Health collaborates
with other Graduate Colleges to offer an Interdepartmental
Graduate Concentration in Survey Research Methodology.
Traveling
Scholar Program Committee on Institutional Cooperation
This program allows doctoral students
to take advantage of specialized courses, laboratory
and library facilities, and related faculty guidance
available at universities in the Big Ten and the University
of Chicago.
MS - Clinical Research Concentration
The Clinical Research Concentration requires a publishable paper and a research proposal, rather than a formal thesis. The research must be completed under the supervision of an approved clinical investigator and with the approval of a mentorship committee designed specifically for each student.
