Welcome to Distance Education Learning

The SPH Distance Education Learning Office, housed within the Office of the Dean, supports faculty and students who are involved in distance education. We are available to assist academic units in the following:

Faculty Services

• Set up Blackboard Course Site. Contact us when you are ready to request a Blackboard site.
  
  
• Provide group training on Blackboard and consult with faculty on making the transition from face-to-face courses to online.
  
  
• Create, deploy, and distribute Course Evaluation Questionnaires for SPH core courses.
  
  
• Approve Teaching Assistant support for fully online SPH core courses.
  
  
• Refer faculty to campus and other external resources.
  
  
• Communicate distance education policies.
  
  
• Serve as a liaison to Blackboard administrators at the Instructional Technology Lab (ITL).
  
  

Students Services

• Provide links to campus resources (e.g. netid, NSkit, etc.) to access Blackboard.
  
  
• Communicate distance education policies.
  
  

The School of Public Health offers many opportunities to teach and learn via online technologies.
