Methods Used for Developing a PCB Inventory for Canada

For determining PCB contamination on the Canadian side of the Great Lakes Basin, CELA looked at any Canadian information sources on the following topics that would complement the U.S. data.

  1. Inventories of PCBs in use or in storage
  2. Water:
    • Sources and loads to lakes
    • Groundwater
    • Sediment
    • Fish advisories
  3. Airborne sources
  4. Contaminated land

Canadian health effects and regulatory information was also contributed by CELA.
