PCB Transformer Inventory

The U.S. EPA maintains an inventory of all in-use PCB transformers in the U.S. and U.S. territories. The amount of PCBs in each listed transformer is provided. The 1999 PCB Transformer Inventory was used to total the numbers of transformers containing PCBs and the corresponding weight of dielectric fluid for each state. In October, 2001 the EPA released the newest version of the Inventory which can be accessed at http://www.epa.gov/pcb/data.html. Both the 1999 and 2001 data were compared to the state totals calculated and presented in the BNS.
